There is a special feeling in the air when two people
decide to spend the rest of their lives together. BUTTERFLY
Parties specializes in that “feeling”
- that feeling of excitement, felicity, and anticipation.
We started planning parties when serving filet mignon,
twice baked potatoes and mozzarella sticks were haute
cuisine. We even remember a time when little attention
was given to wedding cakes and a majority of couples
never served their cake to their guests as dessert;
it was usually a type of cheesecake. Since the start
of the new millennium, it has been interesting to see
what has remained the same and what has changed.

Many time-honored traditions have remained in style,
for example: hand addressing of wedding invitations,
a formal gathering of the parents’ first meeting,
a bride being escorted down the aisle, jumping the broom,
or breaking the glass. At BUTTERFLY,
we are current with the latest trends, but we never
forget about tradition. Our focus is about mixing the
old with the new. Together we will incorporate the traditional
elements that you and your fiancé prefer with
a fresh touch, like a receiving line, or displaying
a variety of family wedding pictures near the guest
book.
Together we will have fun planning your special day
and you will have that feeling ~

Country
Club Wedding ~
Organized private tennis lessons for the bridal party
and in-laws; everyone showed up to watch the day the
mother-in-laws played each other.
Beach
Wedding ~
Baskets of Cobian flops for all of the guests. White
for the ladies; brown for the men.
Home
Wedding ~
Used the bride’s pottery pieces as decoration
all throughout the house and lined the empty display
shelves with flickering votive candles.
Italian
Wine Dinner ~
Gave gift baskets filled with dried porcini, white truffle
oil and black pepper pasta. Decanted a 1968 bottle of
Barolo; every guest left the restaurant with a big smile
on their face.
